PROJECT OVERVIEW

The Verizon Cloud Platform team needed a website so that internal Verizon employees and vendors could upload their projects to the private cloud, hosted by OpenStack. This website was built in ReactJS and designed in Sketch App.

PROJECT GOALS

To create a website to enable all of Verizon’s employees and vendors to upload projects to the cloud. There are severs all over the world that host Verizon’s projects.

RESEARCH ACCOMPLISHMENTS

User Research: Interviewed employees to learn what their project needs were and what they wanted to upload to our cloud.

Stakeholder Interviews: Interviewed the VCP manager to determine the core functionalities and requirements.

Market Research: Researched, attended live demos and compared other cloud-based applications to determine if additional features are necessary for our users.

CONTENT STRATEGY ACCOMPLISHMENTS

Collaborated with the development and design team to compile the project requirements documents.

DESIGN ACCOMPLISHMENTS

1) Style Guide: Helped to create a style guide with reusable components that were then built using ReactJS for the website and other applications.

2) Empathy Mapping: Designed an empathy map in order to measure how the targeted user thinks and feels.
3) User Journeys and Personas: Created a user journey and personas to step into the shoes of the user.
4) Wireframes & Prototypes: Hand sketched wireframes during the brainstorm session. Created detailed wireframe specifications using Balsamiq and hi-fidelity interactive prototypes using Sketch and Invision.
3) Website Design: Designed the website.

4) Collaboration: Worked with fullstack developers and project managers. Served as the advocate for human-centered design through out the production process, provided guidance to all members of the team.
